Dr. Redish partners with physician’s assistants (also known as mid-level providers or physician extenders) to provide your non-surgical care and patient education.

Qualified Care Team

Our physician extenders are all licensed and certified to care for your orthopedic needs. They’ve earned certifications by completing an accredited program in their field and passing national exams. At Parkridge Bone & Joint, you’ll meet mid-level providers called physician’s assistants (PAs).

Access Points to Care

Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Redish, spends a lot of time in surgery – which limits his availability for routine office visits. At Parkridge Bone & Joint, you don’t have to wait to be seen for minor orthopedic conditions or follow-up visits. He partners with our physician extenders and the entire care team so you can be seen quickly. Our team provides faster access to office appointments, phone consultations, and review of test results.

Continuity of Care

From your first consultation at Parkridge Bone & Joint to your post-operative visits, our care team will walk with you the entire way. You’ll see the familiar faces of our nurses and PAs during each visit to our office in Chattanooga. Other office-based procedures such as intra-articular joint injections are also handled by physician extenders.

If you need a joint replacement, your care team constantly works together to make you’re you have a smooth journey before, during and after surgery. During your inpatient hospital stay, your physician extender will make sure that everything is communicated between the hospital staff and your orthopedic surgeon.
